Microblading: How does it fade?

Here's the story of two clients in which I used the same color, same microblading needles and same technique.

Client #1 is 41 years old, has EGG skin, heavy bleeding during procedure, Fitz. 2, cool undertone, with oily skin. Color used was a medium neutral color. Her retention after 1.5 years was about 70% faded.

Client #2 is 65 yo, has GRAPE skin, no bleeding during procedure, Fitz. 2, cool undertone, mature skin. Color used was a medium neutral color. Her retention after 2 1/2 years was only 30% faded.

The main factor that affects the retention (with all other variables being equal) is the SKIN TYPE. When you understand how thin/thick the epidermis is, you will know the amount of pressure to use and can predict healing and retention.

To read more about the way I classify skin types, please visit my blog:https://tinadavies.com/…/news/112988357-how-deep-should-i-s…

The bottom line is: MIcroblading is hard and a skill that is learned after lots of experience with different skin types. No two cases are alike but if you know the signs to look for and how to fine tune your pressure, angle and speed, you will be able to get consistent results and keep customers for life.

I hope this helps! Please feel free to share this post so we can all learn together.

I will be teaching an advanced class in Toronto on Sept. 24, 25, 26 with Mary Ritcherson and Teryn Darling. Please join us if you want to learn the secrets to success. Visit www.ShadesandStrokesinHarmony.com for more details.
